PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device facilitating the accurate confirmation of the visible recognition of a meter dial. SOLUTION: A control section of the design support device first calculates coordinate values corresponding to a right visual point Er (right eye) and a left visual point El (left eye) of a driver. Then, the device calculates a right projection line obtained by making a visible outline of a steering wheel 30 project toward the meter dial 40 from the right visual point Er and a left projection line Ll obtained by making a visible outline of the steering wheel 30 project toward the meter dial 40 from the left visual point El. On the basis of the right projection line and the left projection line Ll, data showing a boundary of a visibly recognizable range are calculated as visibly recognizable area data by using both a right eye (the right visual point Er) and a left eye (the left visual point El). A figure shown by the visibly recognizable area data is virtually displayed on a display part together with the steering wheel 30 and the meter dial 40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
