PURPOSE:To ensure smooth accelerating performance during rapid acceleration after a low engine speed continues for a long period of time by making control to reduce an injection time for one time injection of a fuel injection valve from the fundamental injection time for predetermined normal operation of the fuel injection valve, in the case of rapid acceleration in which an amount of speed equivalent to that of acceleration operating speed exceeds that equivalent to the predetermined critical speed. CONSTITUTION:A fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine comprises a fuel injection device for injecting fuel by means of a fuel injection valve 46 installed in an intake passage to a cylinder 12 and a control unit 58 for controlling the amount of injection valve 46. The control unit 58 is controlled to reduce an injection time for one time injection of a fuel injection valve from the fundamental injection time for predetermined normal operation of the fuel injection valve when the lasting time of low rotational speed below the predetermined specified rotational speed of an engine 10 very long beyond the predetermined critical time and when an amount of speed equivalent to that of accelerating operation speeds exceeds that equivalent to the predetermined critical speed. |
