PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismically strengthening apparatus which facilitates setting of a slit mechanism therein and stabilizes the setting condition of the same. SOLUTION: According to the seismically strengthening apparatus, a cushion member 12 is interposed between a pair of holding frames 10, 11 which are then connected together on both sides of the cushion member 12 by using connecting members 13. Thus, both the holding frames 10, 11, and the cushion member 12 are connected together in one piece to form a slit mechanism 4. Further, the one-piece slit mechanism 4 is arranged between forms 2, 3, and then the connecting member 13 is connected to a separator 6 by using a position holding member 7.
