<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a glassy carbon blind cylindrical container, glassy carbon flanged cylinder and glassy carbon cylinder of a large bore and long size. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the glassy carbon blind cylindrical container includes a process step of obtaining the thermosetting resin cylinder by centrifugally molding the thermosetting resin, a process step of molding a thermosetting resin bottom plate by using a mold for the bottom plate disposed with the thermosetting resin cylinder in itss cavity and cast molding the thermosetting resin of the same composition or substantially the same composition as the composition of the thermosetting resin used in the centrifugal molding and simultaneously joining the thermosetting resin bottom plate and the thermosetting resin cylinder, and a process step of subjecting the resulted thermosetting resin blind cylindrical container to carbonation treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
