PURPOSE:To quote the data on an independent program which is precedingly executed by producing an interface on an external storage device to store the desired information to be transferred between the independent programs. CONSTITUTION:An external storage 103 is prepared together with the work stations 101 and 102. The storage 103 contains an interface file 104 to store the desired information to be transferred between the independent programs. Both stations 101 and 102 write the desired information to be taken over by the independent program executed previously into the file 104 together with their own numbers and the corresponding process ID when a series of processes are executed with use of an automatic operation function of each job of both work stations. Then the stations 101 and 102 receive the necessary data from the interface file 104 via an independent program to be executed next based on their own numbers and the corresponding process ID. As a result, the data on the independent program which is precedingly executed can be quoted.
