Troughs(1,3) made of a fibre composite material are fitted to the longitudinal supports and crossmembers(2,4) of the motor vehicle by means of flanges(9,10) and serve to accommodate folding seats. On the underside of the floor assembly covers(7,8) are fitted between the troughs in the region of the crossmembers. A recess(5) for a spare wheel and heating and cable ducts are integrated into the assembly. The longitudinal supports and crossmembers may be made of a fibre composite material and the covers made of plastic.
