The container has a neck area (3) containing an opening for filling and/or draining the container, a body area (4) and a base area (5). A locking area (7) fastens a container closure unit and an upper support ring (8), and a lower support ring (8`) is provided above and/or below the upper support ring. The locking area is formed by a screw thread, so that the container is lockable by a container closure unit. The container is designed as a plastic bottle such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle.
