PURPOSE: A color image displaying apparatus is provided to display a high-quality color image by mixing information obtained through a frequency analysis of a non-filtered clutter signal so as to remove a flash artifact. CONSTITUTION: A color image displaying apparatus comprises a quadrature demodulation section(50) which detects a phase shift amount to an iteration period of a transmission pulse. An envelope detection section(60) receives a complex-number signal from the rectangle demodulation section(50) to perform an envelope detection. A clutter filter(70) filters a clutter signal included in the complex-number signal. A first frequency estimator(110) analyzes a frequency spectrum of a doppler signal as the filtered signal of the clutter filter(70) to obtain doppler information. A second frequency estimator(120) analysis a frequency spectrum of a clutter signal included in an ultrasonic wave signal not filtered by the filter(70) to obtain clutter information. A post processing section(130) receives the doppler information and the clutter information to judges whether a flash artifact exists. If so, the post processing section(130) outputs pixel display information to a digital scan converter(80) so as not to display a corresponding pixel.
