<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a piezoelectric ceramic component with superior piezoelectric characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: An unaligned sheet GS1 is formed to a specified thickness by coating a base film BF with ceramic slurry 1 containing nonmagnetic ceramic particles, sent in a magnetic field applying apparatus 3 while supported on the base film BF, and applied with a magnetic field in a specified direction to align the nonmagnetic ceramic particles in the unaligned sheet GS1 in the direction of the magnetic field, thereby forming an aligned sheet GS2. The alignment of the nonmagnetic ceramic particles in the aligned sheet GS1 is fixed by drying to form an alignment-fixed sheet GS3, which is used to manufacture the piezoelectric ceramic component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
