PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus that enables simple and accurate puncture guiding.SOLUTION: An alignment unit 531 aligns regular dose volume data generated by a CT scan on a subject using a regular dose with low dose volume data generated by a CT scan using a low X-ray dose on a subject with a medical appliance inserted therein. A determination unit 532 determines a position in the regular dose volume data that corresponds to a position of the medical appliance included in the low dose volume data. An image generation unit 533 generates a cross-sectional image relating to a cross section including the determined position on the basis of the regular dose volume data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
