Detergents comprising low sulfur, alkaline earth alkyl salicylates and their use in low sulfur lubricating compositions for two-stroke engines

The detergent additive for lubricant compositions of low sulfur content comprises a non-sulfurized alkaline earth alkylsalicylate. The compositions are used in air-cooled two-stroke engines. Independent claims are also included for the lubricant composition, method of lubrication and an additive concentrate of low sulfur concentration.
