PURPOSE:To improve the detecting accuracy of screen movement by executing the introduction of the second order term of the Taylor expansion of picture density and the weighting of it corresponding to the moving quantity of a picture in a next predicted scene. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal inputted from a picture signal input terminal 1 is inputted to a circuit 2 to find a density difference and the time changing quantity of successive density is calculated. Then, the second order differential value of the picture density weighted by multiplying the predicted value of movement outputted from a movement predicting filter 10 based on a horizontal direction picture swinging quantity alpha is added to density difference information and moreover, after making it the code of the first order differential value of the picture density times, only the number of picture elements within a block is added in an adder 5 and it is inputted as a dividend to a divider 11. Thus, the Taylor expansion of the picture density is expanded to a secondary term and the detecting accuracy of screen swing can be improved by combining a movement predicting method to predict the moving quantity of a picture in a next scene from the movement of the past picture. |
