<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily and precisely detecting cadmium ions in a sample solution comprising rice decomposed by a strong acid, and to provide an apparatus for the same. <P>SOLUTION: An electrically conductive diamond electrode as a working electrode, and a counter electrode are brought into contact with a sample solution comprising food decomposed by a strong acid. A voltage, causing the precipitation of cadmium on the working electrode, is applied between the working electrode and the counter electrode to cause the precipitation of cadmium on the working electrode. Then, a voltage, causing elution of cadmium precipitated on the working electrode, is applied between the working electrode and the counter electrode, to detect the electric current flowing in between both the electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
