PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the heat insulative performance of a building without increase of the a heat insulative material thickness and a method for simultaneously securing an air supplying volume necessary for ventilation by recovering the indoor heat lost from the exterior wall of the building ( except a wooden building) due to the heat transmission. SOLUTION: In the method, an air permeable wall body 4 constituted of an air permeable curtain wall 4A and an air permeable heat insulation material 4B and an exterior finishing material 2 are provided in turn instead of the exterior wall of the building 1 ( except wooden building ) or at the outside of the exterior wall, the outside air in the air venting layer 3 formed between the heat insulation material 4B of the air permeable wall body 4 and the exterior finishing material 2 is passed through the whole face of the air permeable wall body 4 and then taken into the indoor, thereby, the indoor heat lost through the external wall from the indoor to the outdoor due to the thermal transmission is caused to transmit heat to the outside air in the air permeable wall body 4, to improve the heat insulation performance of the exterior wall of the building without increase of the thickness of the heat insulation member.
