DUAL MODE TERMINAL AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A dual mode terminal and its driving method are provided to support both mobile communication and wireless LAN connection functions. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication modem(11) is connected to a mobile communication network. A wireless LAN modem(12) is connected to a wireless AP(Access Point). A protocol stack storing unit(13) stores a protocol stack supporting wireless connection in a firmware or a memory form. An application storing unit(14) stores application programs that are connected through separate interface according to a type of a terminal. A controller(15) selectively operates the mobile communication modem(11) or the wireless LAN modem(12) according to a kind of a destination message when the destination message transmitted from the mobile communication network is received through the mobile communication modem(11).
