PURPOSE:To obtain a recording liquid, excellent in printing quality and discharge properties and useful for ink jet recording. CONSTITUTION:A recording liquid is constructed by including a pigment, a polymer and a liquid medium. Among them, the liquid medium is either or both of a low-vapor pressure solvent having <=10mmHg/30 deg.C vapor pressure and a high-boiling solvent having >100 deg.C boiling point and either or both of a high-vapor pressure solvent having >10mmHg/30 deg.C vapor pressure and a low-boiling solvent having <=100 deg.C boiling point. The aforementioned recording liquid is excellent in printing quality, discharge properties and further water resistance and printing on plain paper can also be carried out. |
