PURPOSE: Functional underwear containing a waistband attached with acupressure protrusions for acupressing and stimulating an acupuncture point(acupoint) around the navel when worn is provided. It is useful for a person with protuberant abdomen, helps to induce a decrease in abdominal obesity and does not cause compression to the abdomen area. CONSTITUTION: The functional underwear(1) comprises: a waistband containing a non-stretch band portion(10) disposed at the abdomen side not to compress the abdomen and a stretch band portion(11) disposed at the back side; and a mesh fabric(12). Acupressure protrusions(20) are attached to the non-stretch band portion to acupress and stimulate a cheonchu acupoint around the navel when worn.
