PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile apparatus capable of preventing a received document from meeting the eyes of unspecified many persons.SOLUTION: The facsimile apparatus comprises: a character recognition part 72 which executes character recognition processing of cover page image data being the top page of facsimile data; a cover page image generating part 74 which identifies as an erasure area an area in which a message addressed to a recipient from an originator is supposed to have been described; an ID generation part 75 which generates a characteristic ID; an image processing part 8 which erases image data within the erasure area and draws an ID; a storage part 9 which stores the facsimile data therein in association with the ID; a recording part 6 which prints and outputs the cover page image data obtained by erasing the image data in the erasure area and drawing the ID; and a document management part 71 which causes the recording part 6 to print and output the facsimile data stored in the storage part 9 in association with an ID coincident with an inputted ID.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
