<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and inexpensive three-dimensional stereoscopic display device which determines an appropriate observation position without using such a large system to move a device and a user in determining the appropriate position. <P>SOLUTION: When the user 1 observes three-dimensional video of this three-dimensional stereoscopic video display device 6, the user 1 moves the position of a chair 7 to a position that is determined to be the most appropriate for three-dimensional video observation, operates a remote controller 2 at the position and sends a signal to a remote control light receiving part 3. The signal operates a range sensor 4 to measure and store a distance from the user. At the time of observation after determining the appropriate observation position, a message is displayed on the three-dimensional stereoscopic video display device so as to instruct the user to move closer to the three-dimensional stereoscopic video display device if the user is away from the three-dimensional stereoscopic video display device 6 with stored distance as reference and to instruct the user to move away if the user is too close to the video display display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
