APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING SNORING

An apparatus for detecting snoring and a method for detecting snoring are disclosed. The disclosed apparatus and method collect sound signals, extract, from the collected sound signals, only a frequency band in which the largest number of snoring signals are located, and reconstruct the sound signals using maximum values for a predetermined period of time for divided frequency intervals, thereby pretreating relevant sound signals so as to facilitate the detection of snoring signals using a linear discriminant analysis method.
