Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a surface mounted inductor, capable of reducing electric contact resistance between an external electrode and a metal core of an insulating coil, and increasing reliability of the electric contact by forming a hole for exposure in a green sheet stacked body to enable a stepped part of the insulating coil wound around the core to be protruded to the outside, so as to sufficiently secure an area of the insulating coil electrically connected to the external electrode.
