PURPOSE:To easily understand the route to a destination by simultaneously displaying the required two points such as the present position and the destination on a screen. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 5 controls the operation of the navigation system. According to a control program stored in a ROM 3, an electronic map including the point specified by the address data is made and displayed on a monitor 6 based on the address data inputted from an input device 2. The CPU 5 retrieves the point based on the address data inputted from the input device 2 and displays the specified point on the map being displayed. In short, based on the retrieval information on the inputted 1st and 2nd points, the corresponding electronic map is retrieved from among plural stored electronic maps and displayed. Different marks are displayed on the positions corresponding to the 1st and 2nd points on the electronic map. |
