<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable optical pickup device in which an objective lens and a magnetic circuit are not damaged even if the optical pickup device collides with a disk. <P>SOLUTION: An elastic member for supporting a lens holder so that it can move in a focusing direction and a tracking direction, and one portion of the magnetic circuit for driving the lens holder in the above direction are integrated at the lens holder for retaining the objective lens.
