PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium management apparatus capable of permitting a user to use a portable storage medium which is associated with monetary value according to the situation of the user.SOLUTION: A storage medium management apparatus 101 receives an identifier of a first type portable storage medium which is associated with a monetary value, and identifies an identifier of a second type storage medium corresponding to the identifier of the received first type storage medium. The storage medium management apparatus 101 controls the first type storage medium to be or not to be permitted to be used depending on the state of a piece of information, which represents the state of use of the second type storage medium corresponding to the identifier of the identified second type storage medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
