PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption, and to prevent productivity from being deteriorated as much as possible even when supplying toner during a print job.SOLUTION: When a toner supply mode control part operates a toner supply mode at a time T1, a contact/separation driving part separates a photoreceptor drum from an intermediate transfer belt, and a drum motor is turned off, and the rotation of the photoreceptor drum is stopped. Then, toner is supplied to a developing unit. A re-operation time calculation part determines an aging time, and calculates a re-operation time t1. Also, a transfer preparation mode control part operates a transfer preparation mode from a timing T2 determined by subtracting a transfer preparation time t2 from the re-operation time t1 calculated by the re-operation time calculation part. The drum motor is turned on, and the rotation of the photoreceptor drum is started, and the contact/separation driving part contacts the photoreceptor drum with the intermediate transfer belt. When the transfer preparation mode ends, image formation is performed again. |
