Oxy-fuel burner

An oxy-fuel burner incorporates at least one conduit (16) for feeding the fuel and at least one conduit (18) for feeding an oxygen-rich gas. The outlets of these conduits are directed essentially in the same direction. The burner is adapted to be mounted through the wall of a furnace with the conduits directed into the furnace. It carries at least one auxiliary component (50,60) designed to act on the flame and this component is arranged on the burner upstream of the zone where the gaseous fuel and the oxygen rich gas meet.
