<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing the configuration of a printer itself from being large regardless of the number of nozzles. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pixel group data generated as printing data at a host computer 2 side are data generated by processing in time series each pixel group which is to be arranged along a sheet transfer direction in an image formation range, and are data each of which shows information for driving specific nozzles 12 at a recording head 10. Moreover, these pixel group data are data which can specify the number of times of non discharge at the pixel groups. By noting the number of times of non discharge specified by the pixel group data as "information for driving the nozzles" at a printer 1 side, each nozzle 12 can be driven by a driving waveform according to the number of times of non discharge while the printer 1 itself is avoided to count and specify the number of times of non discharge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
