PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a firearm device with authenticating function for preventing a child or a third party from using the same by prohibiting a firearm device user, not authenticated as a person who has a regular using right, from using the same. SOLUTION: The firearm device with authenticating function for allowing only a specified person to use the firearm device comprises a fingerprint information reading means for reading fingerprint information for a user, a storage means for previously storing fingerprint information for persons who are authenticated to use the firearm device, an ignition means for igniting the firearm device, a locking means for locking the ignition means into a non-igniting condition, a fingerprint information collating means for collating the fingerprint information read by the fingerprint information reading means with the fingerprint information stored in the storage means, and an unlocking means for unlocking the locking means when collation is accepted by the fingerprint information collating means.
