SLUDGE TREATING AGENT AND SLUDGE DEWATERING TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous polymer having a more minute particle diameter than that in the present situation using a (meth)acryl-based monomer generally used as a commercial product by controlling the particle diameter of water-in-oil type emulsion when producing aqueous polymer particles so as to solve the cost increase by increase of an addition amount range which can be treated that is a problem of a water-swelling microgel, and a crosslinked or branched aqueous polymer.

SOLUTION: This sludge treating agent is the water-in-oil type emulsion of a cationic or amphoteric aqueous polymer emulsified and polymerized by a surfactant such that a monomer mixture aqueous solution containing a specific monomer and a crosslinkable monomer having mass of 20-300 ppm to the monomer or a monomer mixture is a dispersed phase and that hydrocarbon nonmiscible with water is a continuous phase. The particle diameter of the sludge treating agent measured by a scattering type particle size analyzer by laser diffraction is 0.5 μm or below. A compound of two kinds of water-in-oil type emulsions can be similarly used.
