<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize an optical fiber-type current sensor. CONSTITUTION:At least one out of a polarizer 7 and an analyzer 8 which are installed at both ends of an optical-fiber-CT head 2 of the optical fiber-type current sensor is formed in such a way that an SMT (a single-mode optical fiber) is wound to have a coil shape without applying a twist. The other out of the polarizer 7 and the analyzer 8 can be formed as a polarization beam splitter in conventional cases. Light which is incident from an incidence-side optical fiber 5 is linearly polarized by the polarizer 7, it is modulated by the optical-fiber-CT head 2 according to a current I, and it is converted into an optical intensity so as to be output. When both the polarizer 7 and the analyzer 8 are formed out of an optical fiber, an optical-rotation adjusting plate 9 is arranged in order to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor.</p> |
