<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus without causing a problem such as wrinkling or skew of paper or turbulence of an image due to misalignment of a roller. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus forms a toner image on a photoreceptor, transfers and fixed it to a recording medium. The image forming apparatus is provided with detachable unit provided with at least one detachable roller. The unit is provided with: a driving force transmission gear rotationally driving the roller; and a shaft of the driving force transmission gear is attached on one side to the unit in a cantilever fashion. On the main body side of the image forming apparatus, a driving force transmission gear shaft retaining member which retains the other end of the shaft so that the shaft of the driving force transmission gear is supported between the unit from both sides when the unit is attached to the main body of the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
