PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite brush which can exhibit excellent rectifying performance and sliding performance in a rotating apparatus for motor vehicle or the like even in its use under recent hard environments such as heavy-duty operation and high peripheral speed. SOLUTION: Natural graphite powder or artificial graphite powder whose graphitizing degree is 0.4 or less and whose grain size is 150μm or less based on value (p) in a surface (004) obtained from the grid constant of artificial graphite and the measurement method of the size of crystallite by a method defined by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science is used as one of main raw materials. After conducting mixing and kneading by adding synthetic resin of 7-15weight% as a binding agent for main raw material of 100weight%, a resin cured molded part is obtained by cold press molding or hot press molding before the final heating processing at 200-400 deg.C. It is thus provide a brush whose specific resistance is 2000-5000μΩcm.
