PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting device which can certainly keep the operating frequency of an inverter circuit to the phase delay region of the resonance frequency of a resonator circuit when a discharge lamp load having different starting voltage is to be started for lighting up using one unit of inverter circuit through resonator circuit. SOLUTION: A discharge lamp lighting device is equipped with a DC power supply 2 to make power conversion from AC main A into a DC voltage and an inverter circuit 1 to convert the output of the DC power supply 2 into a high frequency power. Through a resonator circuit, the output of the inverter circuit 1 is supplied to lamps La1 and La2 having different starting voltages and connected in parallel. The output voltage of the DC power supply 2 is set so that the operating frequency is kept to the phase delay region of the resonance frequency of resonator circuit when the operating frequency of the inverter circuit 1 is set so as to cause impression of that starting voltage of two lamps La1 and La2 which is the highest. |
