PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antibody having binding activity specific to human albumin and a protein modified with human albumin. SOLUTION: This single chain Fv polypeptide has a binding activity specific to the human albumin. The polypeptide is characterized by culturing a host cell of the stipulation number TOTO-200001 (FERM P-17938) and separating the cell from the culture products. The present invention succeeds in producing the single chain Fv polypeptide having the human albumin binding activity by preparing a phage display library, obtaining DNA encoding the single chain Fv polypeptide capable of specifically binding to the human albumin and then using the DNA. Since the polypeptide can readily be obtained from the phage, the production method is excellent in mass production property, compared with a method from a conventional antibody.
