PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an eyepiece lens having a long eye relief, a high magnification, and excellent optical performance; am optical device; and a method for manufacturing the eyepiece lens.SOLUTION: An eyepiece lens EL for observing an image formed by an objective lens via an erecting optical system P comprises, in order from an object side: a first lens L1 having negative refractive power; a second lens L2 having positive refractive power, and a third lens L3 having negative refractive power.
