An apparatus for controlling the power of a fuser unit includes a power supply(100) and a power supply controller(130). The power supply(100) supplies DC power to the fuser unit. The power supply controller(130) controls the power supply(100) such that time of supplying the DC power is gradually increased up to a preset time point. The power supply(100) includes a power transformer and a DC power supply. The power transformer transforms AC power into DC power. The DC power supply supplies the DC power to the fuser unit.
