PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method for producing a perfluoro(exomethylenecycloalkene) compound. SOLUTION: The method for producing a perfluoro(exomethylenecycloalkene) compound expressed by formula (3) comprises the reaction of a perfluorocycloalkene compound expressed by formula (1) with a basic compound and the reaction of the product with a compound expressed by formula (2): CF<SB>2</SB>X<SP>1</SP>X<SP>2</SP>. In the formulas, R<SP>1</SP>is a fluorine atom or a 1-6C perfluoroalkyl group; R<SP>2</SP>is a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom, a bromine atom or an iodine atom; n is an integer of 0-4; and X<SP>1</SP>and X<SP>2</SP>are each independently a chlorine atom, a bromine atom or an iodine atom.
