摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain an edged tool having high strength, high hardness and superior durability by specifying the grain size of grains in a sintered body contg. zirconia stabilized with yttria and alumina in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:An edged tool is made of an alumina-zirconia ceramic sintered body consisting of 95-30wt.% ZrO2 contg. 1.5-4.5mo% Y2O3 and 5-70wt.% Al2O3. The sintered body contains uniformly dispersed ZrO2 grains of <=0.3mum average grain size and Al2O3 grains of <=2mum mean grain size and the ZrO2 crystal phase in the sintered body is chiefly tetragonal. The relation between the Al2O3 content of the sintered body and the bending strength at room temp. is shown by the table. |
