PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the syllable recognition device with high precision which does not require skillfulness by providing a standard pattern storage part, an analysis part, a collation part which selects and outputs a standard pattern of high similarity, an output part which outputs a short syllable corresponding to a standard pattern selected by the collation part, etc. SOLUTION: A voice waveform inputted from an input terminal 2 is converted by the analysis part 3 which has received it into a feature vector series, and the analysis part 3 outputs this feature vectors as an input pattern to the collation part 5. Then the collation part 5 collates the input pattern outputted by the analysis part 3 with plural standard patterns red out of the standard pattern storage part 4 and selects and outputs the standard pattern of the highest similarity among the standard patterns to the output part 6. Consequently, when a syllable is inputted, words which are relative to respective syllables need not be stored in advance, so the syllable recognition device 1 which does not require skillfulness and has high recognition performance can be obtained. |
