POWER FACTOR CORRECTION CONTROL CIRCUIT AND DRIVIING METHOD THEREOF

A power factor correction control circuit comprises: a control signal providing unit which provides a control signal connected with a feedback signal controlled based on a bias signal; a pulse width modulation signal control unit which controls a pulse width modulation signal based on one of first and second bias signals; and a power factor control unit which provides a power factor control signal if the size of the pulse width modulation signal reaches the size of the control signal. Thus, the power factor correction control circuit is able to: normally drive a circuit regardless the size and load conditions of an input voltage (V_IN) by controlling the size of an applied bias current; and prevent an output overvoltage by stabilizing a control signal.
