<p>Denture cleansing tablet comprising an inorganic persalt bleaching agent, an organic peroxyacid bleach precursor and a solid base material which comprises at least one alkali metal carbonate or bicarbonate and at least one non-toxic, physiologically-acceptable inorganic acid and which in the presence of water releases carbon dioxide with effervescence, and wherein are excluded denture cleansing tablets wherein the solid base material additionally comprises an organic acid. The composition provides more rapid and efficacious denture cleansing performance and anti-bacterial activity.</p> |
