Accelerator for a linear actuator

The actuator has a piston which moves longitudinally surrounded by a stator. The piston consists of a cylindrical axle (8) which is preferably made from an amagnetic or even insulating material and has ferromagnetic teeth (7) which consist of longitudinal plates in staggered rows. The stator has non ferromagnetic plates (3) with magnets inserted at transverse polarity and with the longitudinal spacing between alternate like poles equal to the longitudinal spacing between the piston teeth (7). The plates (3) are surrounded by electrical windings (5) and a ferromagnetic frame (6). The motion of the piston is guided by ball bearings fixed to the stator.
