The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing flame resistant Styrofoam in which a flame retardant is added, and which comprises: a first foaming step (S10) of forming foaming Styrofoam grains by foaming expanded polystyrene (EPS) in which a polystyrene resin (PS) and a foaming agent are mixed; a first coating step (S20) of coating the flame retardant on the outer surface of the foaming Styrofoam grains; a molding step (S30) of injecting the grains into a frame to mold foaming Styrofoam; a hardening step (S40) of hardening the molded foaming Styrofoam; a heating wire cutting step (S50) of cutting the hardened foaming Styrofoam into a desired shape; and a second coating step (S60) of coating the flame retardant on the outer surface of the cut foaming Styrofoam. Accordingly, the method for manufacturing Styrofoam of the present invention: performs the first flame retardant coating using a small amount thereof, thereby preventing inner particles from being deformed; uses a heating wire cutter, thereby being able to be cut into a desired shape and size; and performs the second retardant coating, and thus seals the inside and outside of the Styrofoam with the flame retardant, thereby having an excellent flame resistance and improving sound absorption and thermal insulation. |
