The rear end of the roof tile is covered by adjoining tiles above it and it has a device, such as a retaining cam overlapping a roof batten, for fixing it on the roof. Its rear end is bounded at right angles to its longitudinal axis, and its front end is rounded.An emerging strand, made by cutting, is formed by means of a wire, passing through this, parallel to the top side.
