A gasket separation device of a refrigerator is provided to actively open doors by separating a gasket assembly installed on the door through a separating mechanism. A gasket separation device of a refrigerator comprises plural doors(35L,35R) connected with a refrigerator main body(40) through a hinge unit(45) to be rotated forward; a side gasket assembly(50) installed on the plural doors to seal a gap beside the doors; a separating mechanism installed on each door to rotate the side gasket assembly and move away; and a fixing lever(70) installed at the main body to support the separating mechanism in closing the door so as to tightly contact the side gasket assembly to each other. The side gasket assembly is rotated to a predetermined radius in opening/closing the door, and the fixing lever is installed on the main body to be in the rotation radius of the side gasket assembly.
