PURPOSE:To prepare a coating compsn. excellent in the processability, hiding power, and hardness of the coating film by compounding a white pigment into a mixture of a specific resin and an alcohol-modified aminoaldehyde resin obtd. from a specific triazine compd. CONSTITUTION:2,4-Diamino-6-cyclohexyl-s-triazine or a mixture of it with another aminotriazine compd. (e.g. melamine) is polycondensed with formaldehyde or paraformaldehyde, and the reaction product is etherified with a lower alkyl alcohol (e.g. n-butanol) to give an alcohol-modified aminoaldehyde resin. 10-35 pts.wt. resulting aminoaldehyde resin is mixed with 90-65 pts.wt. polyester resin having a number average MW of 10000 or higher, and 100 pts.wt. resulting resin mixture is compounded with 50-100 pts.wt. white pigment (e.g. rutile titanium oxide) to give a coating compsn. excellent in the processability, hiding power, and hardness of the coating film. |
