<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal unit capable of making an optical pickup device compact in spite of being able to use different types of optical disks by using at least two objective lenses, and to provide an optical pickup device and its assembly method. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal unit LU, a first liquid crystal part LCD1 and a second liquid crystal part LCD2 are formed integrally, and the outer side of them is surrounded by a rectangular frame FR. An optical element unit OU is attached to one side of a rectangular frame-shaped bobbin B, and the liquid crystal unit LU is attached to the other side. Thus, a distance Δ between optical axes of an objective lens OBJ1 and a second objective lens OBJ2 can be shortened as much as possible, which contributes to the compactification of the optical pickup device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
