This internal-combustion engine high-pressure pump control device is provided with a high-pressure pump (14) which is supplied with fuel discharged from a low-pressure pump (12), and a fuel injection valve (28) which is supplied with fuel discharged from the high-pressure pump, wherein the internal-combustion engine high-pressure pump control device is additionally provided with: a predicting unit (32) which predicts whether or not the discharge quantity from the high-pressure pump will exceed the discharge quantity from the low-pressure pump; and a restricting unit (32) which executes discharge quantity restriction control, whereby the discharge quantity from the high-pressure pump is restricted so as not to exceed a certain value, if the predicting unit predicts that the discharge quantity from the high-pressure pump will exceed the discharge quantity from the low-pressure pump. |
