The invention relates to a composition for the production of biodegradable moulded articles, containing starch as carrier substance and one or more additives serving to influence the product characteristics of the moulded article. The additives are deposited on the starch and adhere to same. The invention also relates to a method for preparing such a composition and to the use of same in a method for the production of biodegradable moulded articles.
