<p>A GSM terminal for controlling transmission power according to a battery charge status and a method thereof are provided to enable a control unit to control the transmission power with a power value lower than a reference power value in a low-charge status of a battery, thereby enabling detailed control within the same power level and increasing life time of the GSM terminal. A GSM(Global System for Mobile) terminal for controlling transmission power according to a battery charge status comprises the followings: a battery(107); a transmission power amplification unit(105); a control unit(100) which checks the battery charge status if transmission power level information is received and controls transmission power amplification unit(105) with a transmission power value for low-charge as low as a preset predetermined value than a reference transmission power value according to the transmission power level when battery charge status is in the low-charge status.</p> |
